These terms explain how Klick works for attendees and organisers: buying and transferring tickets, refunds, running events, fees and payouts. We’ve kept them as plain as we can.
1. Agreeing to these terms
Klick is operated by Delka Engineering Limited, trading as Klick (Lagos, Nigeria) (“Klick”, “we”, “us”). These terms apply whenever you use the Klick website, web app or mobile app (the “Service”): browsing events, buying or receiving tickets, publishing events, working on an organiser’s team, or receiving payouts.
By creating an account, completing a checkout or publishing an event, you agree to these terms and confirm you have read our Privacy Policy. If you use Klick for a business, club, church, school or other organisation, you agree on its behalf and confirm you are authorised to do so.
2. What Klick does, and who you are buying from
Klick is a ticketing platform. Organisers use it to create event pages, set ticket types and prices, sell tickets and check guests in. Attendees use it to find events and buy, hold and transfer tickets.
The organiser runs the event and sells the tickets. When you buy a ticket, your contract for the event is with the organiser named on the event page, not with Klick. The organiser is responsible for the event happening as described: its date, venue, line-up, safety, admission rules and refund decisions. We provide the technology, collect payment on the organiser’s behalf, and deliver your tickets.
We collect ticket payments as the organiser’s limited payment collection agent. Once you have paid Klick in full, your payment obligation to the organiser for that order is settled, even if the organiser has not yet been paid out.
3. Accounts and security
- You must be at least 18 to create an account, buy tickets or publish an event. Under-18s may attend events using tickets an adult bought for them, if the organiser allows it.
- Give accurate details and keep them current. You sign up with an email address or a Nigerian phone number, and we may ask you to verify it.
- Keep your password and two-factor codes to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account, so tell us at support@useklick.com straight away if you think someone else has used it.
- We may ask you to sign in again or confirm a code before sensitive actions, such as changing bank details or turning off two-factor authentication.
- You can buy many tickets as a guest, without an account. Your tickets are then tied to the email or phone number you gave at checkout and to a private order link. Anyone with that link can open the order, so don’t share it. You can later create an account with the same email to keep the tickets on any device.
4. Buying tickets
- Price. The price of each ticket, any discount and Klick’s fee are shown before you pay. Some organisers use demand-based pricing, so prices can change as tickets sell. The total shown when you confirm is the total you pay.
- Holds. When you start checkout, we hold your tickets for 10 minutes. If payment isn’t finished in that time, the hold ends and the tickets go back on sale. If money reaches us after the hold has ended and the tickets can’t be issued, we refund it.
- Confirmation. A paid order is confirmed only once our payment provider tells us the payment succeeded. If your payment needs review, we tell you and finish the order or refund you. Free orders are confirmed straight away.
- Your tickets. Each ticket has a unique code, shown as a QR code, that is checked at the door. The first valid scan admits the holder. A code that has already been scanned, cancelled or refunded will not admit anyone. Keep your codes private.
- Transfers. If the organiser allows it, you can send a ticket to someone else in the app. Once it’s transferred, your copy stops working.
- Resale. Selling tickets outside Klick, or for more than you paid, is not allowed unless the organiser permits it. We or the organiser may cancel tickets that were obtained or resold in breach of these terms or the organiser’s rules, and in that case no refund is due.
- Entry. The organiser and venue decide who gets in, and may apply age limits, ID checks, dress codes and conduct rules. If you are refused entry for breaking those rules, you are not owed a refund.
5. Refunds and cancellations
- Cancelled events. If an organiser cancels an event, every paid order is refunded in full, including Klick’s fee, and free tickets are cancelled. We email every ticket holder.
- Other refunds. For an event that still goes ahead, refunds are the organiser’s decision under their own policy. Ask the organiser first, using the contact details on their Klick page. If they agree, they ask us to refund your order.
- How refunds are paid. Every refund is checked by the Klick team before money moves. Approved refunds return the full amount you paid to the account or card you paid from, through the payment provider that processed it. Most reach you within 5 to 10 working days after approval, depending on your bank. Once an order is refunded, its tickets stop working.
- Postponed or changed events. If an event moves to a new date or venue, your tickets stay valid unless the organiser cancels them. If the change means you can no longer attend, ask the organiser for a refund.
- Your legal rights. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018, including where an event is not delivered as described.
- Chargebacks. Please contact the organiser or us before you dispute a payment with your bank. If a chargeback turns out to be fraudulent or an abuse, we may cancel the tickets involved, recover the amount and suspend your account.
6. Running events on Klick
If you publish events, you also agree to the following:
- Accurate listings. Your event details, ticket types, prices, capacity and images must be accurate and lawful, and you must keep them up to date. You must hold every licence, permit and right needed to run the event and sell its tickets.
- Delivering the event. You must run the event as described and honour every valid ticket. If you cannot hold the event, cancel it on Klick promptly so ticket holders are refunded.
- Refunds you owe. Refunds, including those triggered by cancelling an event, come out of your sales. If your balance can’t cover a refund or chargeback, for example because the money has already been paid out, you must repay us, and we may take it from your future payouts.
- Your team. You can invite people as owners, managers or check-in staff. You are responsible for what your team does on Klick. Remove access when someone leaves.
- Attendee data. You receive buyers’ names, contact details and ticket information for your events. You may use them only to run and communicate about that event, and to meet your legal obligations. You must handle them in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. You must not sell them, or use them for unrelated marketing unless the attendee has agreed.
- Messages to attendees. Announcements and reminders you send through Klick must relate to your event and must not be misleading, abusive or unlawful.
- Promoters and promo codes. Promoter links, commissions and promo codes are your own arrangements. Klick tracks them for you, but any commission agreement is between you and the promoter.
- Taxes. You are responsible for any tax due on your ticket sales and for issuing receipts where the law requires them.
7. Fees
Creating an account and publishing events is free, and free tickets carry no fee. For paid tickets, Klick charges a per-ticket fee, set out on our Pricing page and shown at checkout. For each event, the organiser chooses whether buyers pay the fee on top of the ticket price (the default) or the organiser absorbs it.
We may change our fees by updating the Pricing page and giving organisers at least 14 days’ notice. The fee on any order is always the one shown when that order was placed.
8. Payments and payouts
- Payment providers. Payments are processed by licensed Nigerian payment providers, currently Monnify (by Moniepoint) and Kora. Their terms also apply when you pay. We never see or store your full card number, card PIN or bank login.
- When money is available. Your earnings for an event are your ticket sales minus Klick’s fees and any refunds. They become available to withdraw 24 hours after the event ends. Orders with a pending refund, and sales from cancelled events, are held back.
- Requesting a payout. An owner of the organiser account can request a payout of the available balance, with a minimum of ₦1,000, to a Nigerian bank account in the organiser’s name. The Klick team reviews and approves each payout before it is sent.
- Changing bank details. To protect you from fraud, a new or changed payout account can’t receive money for 48 hours, and every owner is emailed about the change.
- Holding payouts. We may delay, hold or reverse a payout when we reasonably need to: to verify your identity or account, investigate suspected fraud or a breach of these terms, cover refunds and chargebacks, or meet a request from a payment provider, regulator or court. When we hold a payout, we tell you why unless the law prevents us.
9. What you must not do
You must not use Klick to:
- sell tickets for events that are illegal in Nigeria, or that don’t exist or are misrepresented;
- promote violence, hate, harassment, or the sexual exploitation of anyone, or put attendees’ safety at risk;
- sell anything other than event admission, such as goods, raffles or gambling, unless we have agreed to it in writing;
- launder money, process payments that aren’t for real tickets, or get around our fees;
- use bots, scraping or multiple accounts to buy up tickets, get around purchase limits, holds or pricing, or copy our data;
- copy, forge or tamper with tickets or QR codes;
- break into, overload, probe or disrupt the Service, or access another person’s account or data;
- post fake reviews, or content that is defamatory or infringes someone else’s rights.
10. Your content, reviews and our brand
You own what you upload, such as event descriptions, cover images, logos and reviews. You give Klick a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, display, adapt (for example, resizing images or building share cards) and use that content to run and promote the Service and your events. The licence lasts while the content is on Klick and for a reasonable time afterwards. You confirm you have the right to grant it.
Only people who held a ticket can review an event. Reviews must reflect a genuine experience. Organisers can reply publicly, and anyone can report a review. We may remove reviews or other content that break these terms or the law, but we don’t check everything before it appears.
The Klick name, logo, design and software belong to us. You may not use them without our written permission, except to link to your event pages.
11. Our responsibility to you
We work hard to keep Klick available and accurate, but we provide the Service “as is”. We don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of organisers, attendees, venues, promoters, payment providers or banks, including an event being cancelled, changed or not as described.
As far as the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim about an order is limited to the fees Klick earned on that order. For any claim not about a specific order, it is limited to ₦100,000. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill or data.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability or consumer right that cannot be limited under Nigerian law.
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as outages at payment providers, banks, telecoms or hosting providers, strikes, civil unrest, or government action.
12. Indemnity
If you are an organiser, you will compensate Klick for any claims, losses, fines and reasonable costs (including legal fees) that arise from your events, your listings and content, how you use attendee data, or your breach of these terms or the law.
13. Suspending or closing accounts
You can stop using Klick at any time. To close your account, email support@useklick.com from the address on your account. Organisers must first settle any outstanding refunds and finish or cancel any upcoming events.
We may suspend or close an account, unpublish an event or cancel tickets if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if we reasonably suspect fraud or a risk to others, or if the law or a payment provider requires it. Where it is safe and lawful, we will tell you why, and you can reply to challenge the decision. The parts of these terms that by their nature should continue after an account is closed, such as amounts owed, liability and indemnity, continue to apply.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Klick grows. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using Klick after that, you accept the new terms. Orders already placed stay under the terms that applied when they were placed.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you have a complaint, email support@useklick.com first. We will reply within 5 working days and try to resolve it within 30 days. If we can’t, either of us may take the dispute to the courts of Lagos State, which have exclusive jurisdiction.
Consumers may also contact the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission at any time.
16. General
- These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and the details shown at checkout, are the whole agreement between you and Klick about the Service.
- If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- We may transfer these terms to another company that takes over operating Klick, or to a buyer of the business, as long as your rights are not reduced. You may not transfer your account or these terms without our consent.
